Getting Started

How do I play white noise?

Just tap the play button. That’s it. Tap again to stop.

How do I change sounds?

Swipe left or right on the main screen, or tap the sound name to see all available options.

What sounds are available?

Peace and Quiet includes:

  • White Noise — Classic static sound
  • Brown Noise — Deeper, rumbling tone
  • Pink Noise — Balanced, natural sound
  • Air Filter — Recorded from a real HEPA filter
  • Nature Sounds — Rain, ocean, forest ambiance

Using Siri

Can I use Siri to start the sounds?

Yes! Just say “Hey Siri, Sleep in Peace” to start playing your last-used sound.

How do I set up Siri?

Siri integration works automatically. No setup required. Just make sure Siri is enabled on your device.

Audio & Playback

Will the sound keep playing when I lock my phone?

Yes. Peace and Quiet continues playing in the background, even when your screen is locked.

Will the sound play all night?

Yes. The sound will continue until you stop it or your device runs out of battery.

Can I set a sleep timer?

The app is designed to play continuously. For a sleep timer, you can use the iOS Clock app’s Timer feature and set “Stop Playing” as the action when the timer ends.

Does it work in Airplane Mode?

Yes! Peace and Quiet works completely offline. No internet connection is required.

Troubleshooting

The sound isn’t playing

  1. Make sure your device isn’t on silent mode (check the switch on the side)
  2. Check that your volume is turned up
  3. Make sure no other audio apps are playing
  4. Try closing and reopening the app

The sound stops when I open other apps

Make sure you haven’t enabled any battery-saving modes that restrict background audio. Go to Settings > Battery and check that Low Power Mode isn’t limiting background activity.

The app crashed

Try force-closing the app and reopening it. If the problem persists, try deleting and reinstalling the app from the App Store.

Privacy

Does the app track me?

No personal tracking. We only collect anonymous crash reports to help us fix bugs and improve stability. No accounts, no usage tracking, no personal data. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Does the app need internet access?

No. The app works entirely offline.
